Meanwhile, permitting delays and soaring costs have put the future of another Main-George project, BBQ Barn, in limbo. That venture would be located immediately to the east of Festiva in the 1200 block of E. 16h Street.
Thomas Main said in mid-January that by the time the city permits came through, it was too late in the year to do anything for the eatery which will have no indoor dining. He said the hope is that pitmaster Blake Ellis will be able to follow through on the project in the spring. Ellis helped Main and George open both Tinker Street and Festiva.
Meanwhile, the building is also being advertised for lease.
