This just in… Franciscan Health opens urgent care center at CityWay

Franciscan ExpressCare CityWay will become Downtown’s only urgent care center when it opens Monday at 325 S. Alabama St., just over a block north of South Street and the Franciscan CityWay health center which opened in late 2015.

The new urgent care center, part of the latest CityWay expansion, will be open 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day of the year.

In addition to treatment of minor illnesses and injuries, Franciscan ExpressCare CityWay will offer a full-service occupational medicine clinic, X-ray and lab services, school, sports and camp physicals, electrocardiograms, breathing treatments, employment and insurance physicals, drug and alcohol screenings, flu and tetanus shots, immunization clinics and travel medicine expertise.

“Our new facility will provide close and convenient access to medical care not only to nearby residents, but also to those who work and socialize in downtown Indianapolis,” said Paul Driscoll, MD, executive medical director for Franciscan Physician Network.

The clinic occupies 10,000 square feet. The development, which broke ground in June 2018, was coordinated in partnership with Buckingham Companies.

Most insurance and managed care plans are covered at all Franciscan ExpressCare centers. No appointments are necessary.
