The District Theatre was one of the most popular stops when the Mass Ave Merchants Association hosted Monster Mash, a family-friendly Halloween event on Sunday, Oct. 28. Organized by IndyFringe and the District Theatre, the theater featured a “Magic Candy Door.” IndyFringers Lee Dykstra and Gary Reiter were able to see the children, but the children couldn’t see them as they dispersed candy and mysteriously commented on the costumes. They handed out over a thousand pieces of candy. Numerous businesses along the Avenue handed out treats, including some non-candy treats as part of the Project Teal Pumpkin, which raises awareness of food allergies.
