THIS JUST IN: Volunteers sought for Cultural Trail cleanup
Officials with the Indianapolis Cultural Trail are inviting the Indy community to join in a fall cleanup on the Cultural Trail, taking place from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 17.
Sixty volunteers are sought to help with a deep cleaning, litter pick-up, sweeping, fall cutbacks, some stormwater planter cleaning and other tasks to get the Indy Cultural Trail ready for fall.
The activities will be led by trail staff and follow strict
COVID-19 volunteer procedures including all supplies being sanitized before and after use. Hand sanitizer and masks will be available and volunteers will be able to choose from four Cultural Trail corridors to work on with each group maxing out at 15 volunteers, ensuring plenty of room to social distance.
