THIS JUST IN: Group show to highlight Harrison Center’s next First Friday

The Harrison Center will help launch 2021 with a virtual First Friday beginning at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 1. The group show, Pareidolia, will focus on the wonder of clouds with participating artists Kate Oberreich, Johnny McKee, Megan Jefferson, Josh Rush, Alicia Zanoni and Kipp Normand. 

Also opening is A Stroll through Indy by Rebecca Robinson. The new body of work will feature mixed media pieces with concrete, tar and white latex.

Additionally, Pamela Watson will present Out of Context, a series of photo realistic animal charcoal drawings. Viewers can also enjoy a new collection of fiber work by Jamie Lynn Williams titled Stitch. Pattern. Repeat. Abstract paintings by John Ross and sculptures of wood and brass by Steve Mannheimer will be featured in Imperfection.

After the virtual First Friday, all shows will be open for in-person, socially distanced visitors from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays beginning Jan. 4. Make an appointment online at harrisoncenter.org/buy-art

The Harrison Center’s annual Holiday Window Walk is also up for some safe, outdoor family fun.
