* Confectioneiress Cupcakes and sweets is now open at 755 Mass Ave, offering a variety of desserts including cakes, cupcakes, cake pops, French macarons, cream pies, cookies and cookie dough shooters.
A very wide variety of flavors include strawberry and cream, almond raspberry, Lemon Drop, Key Lime,
Turtle, Cookies & Cream, mint chocolate chip, banana pudding, dark chocolate cookie dough, chocolate chip cookie dough, red velvet, chocolate, and vanilla.
Confectioneiress, which also operates a shop in Zionsville, is open on Mass Ave from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays.
* Neidhammer Coffee Co. will close its doors on Dec. 31, the enterprise at 2104 E. Washington St. announced in a Facebook post.
“This decision was not made lightly, but it is a necessary step as we work to stabilize our operations and plan for the future, Neidhammer owners said. They added:
“Neidhammer has always been more than a coffee shop. As a social enterprise, our mission has been rooted in workforce development and community impact, and we are incredibly proud of the people, partnerships, and purpose that have shaped this space.
“Our immediate priority is supporting our baristas through this transition. We are actively working with partner organizations to connect our team with new employment opportunities and job placement resources, and to ensure as smooth a transition as possible.
“While this chapter is coming to a close, we remain hopeful for what’s ahead. We are planning to reopen Neidhammer in a new location in the future once funding is stabilized, with the goal of returning stronger and continuing the mission that matters so deeply to us.” * A frozen pipe situation has delayed, at least slightly, the pending opening of the Knotted Spoon Bar and Kitchen, to take residence at 575 Mass Ave, the space once occupied by Nine Irish Brothers. Look for a varied menu including ribs, wings and protein bowls.
