A Holy Cross Mural Party and Pop-Up Exhibition will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 11, in the parking lot of Downtown Doggie.
Phanomen Designs created the mural at Downtown Doggie from ideas generated by 8th-grade students at Paramount School of Excellence. The mural was painted by Paramount students, Holy Cross neighbors and volunteers. There will be brief remarks at 2 p.m. and button-making and dog mask coloring for children by Cat Head Press.
In conjunction to the mural party, Indianapolis Museum of Contemporary Art (iMOCA) will host site-specific installations by Judie Sloan, Danielle Graves, Meredith Setser, Cory Constantine and W/Purpose (Will Marquez and Alejandra Lagunas) along Vermont Street.
All the projects are a partnership of iMOCA, the Holy Cross Neighborhood Association, Paramount School of Excellence, and Downtown Doggie with support from the Arts Council of Indianapolis.
