Winter Market continues momentum for new Fountain Fletcher District

The Fountain Fletcher District will host its first Winter Market in partnership with The Salvation Army Fountain Square on the third Saturdays in January, February and March. The market will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 1337 Shelby St.

The Winter Markets will include over 20 local artisans and vendors with an array of art, home goods and food options. Acoustic artists will perform in the cafe while visitors enjoy baked goods and local drinks. This event features a kid’s area with small toys and art activities as well as kid-sized amenities.

“Our district tends to get quiet over the winter since the Midwest is not friendly to outdoor events.” said Laura Giffel, district manager, “Working with Salvation Army has allowed us to find a space to bring the same energy from the warmer months indoors.”

Registered vendors span the artisan spectrum and will include local favorites such as Placemakers, Homegirl Boutique, Macra-YAY, Cheeky Little Goat, Upcycled Fan Club and Sage and Bloom Co. Versiti Blood Center’s mobile donation bus will be on site for the January and March markets to encourage visitors to roll up their sleeves and donate to the blood bank.
