The Mass Ave Cultural Arts District will host at lease 40 vendors at its inaugural Mass Ave Mile Summer Festival, taking place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 30. The 600 block of Mass Ave will be closed to traffic to accommodate the event.
As reported in the July edition of Urban Times, the event will include live entertainment from IndyFringe and the District Theatre, as well as artist and maker booths and health/fitness programming.
A nonprofit public benefit corporation, the Mass Ave Cultural Arts District was founded by residents, cultural arts organizations, businesses and property owners. The organization, which grew out of the Mass Ave Merchants Association, is actively engaged in making the Mass Ave community even more vibrantly diverse, welcomingly inclusive and sustainable.
