The rich cultural heritage and creative spirit of Canada’s far north will be the focus of Voices from the Arctic: Contemporary Inuit Art, opening Saturday, Feb. 22, at the Eiteljorg Museum. The exhibition will feature sculptures, prints and drawings from the 1960s to today, sourced from the Eiteljorg’s permanent collection and select loans from collectors.

Visitors will discover the evolution of Inuit art, from traditional depictions of hunting, dogsledding and spiritual themes to modern reflections on technology, shifting lifestyles and the urgent realities of climate change. Each piece will offer a glimpse into the ingenuity, resilience and deep connection to the land that defines Inuit communities.

The exhibition will explore the profound stories and creative expressions of Inuit artists – witnesses to the dramatic changes reshaping the Arctic and the world.
