As the project surrounding the Indianapolis City Market proceeds, Downtown Indy, Inc., and city leaders are seeking public input on a key question:
What factors are most important to you when selecting market vendors or ready-to-eat food retailers? Please rank the following in order of importance by dragging your selection to your preferred order.
The historic main market house has been vacant since plans were announced to redevelop the non-historic east and west wings. The project includes renovation of the “Gold Building” into residences, and later a residential facility to be built on the east plaza.
Previously announced were plans to uncover the historic catacombs under the west plaza, to become a recreational green space on both the street level and catacombs level.
The survey is being conducted by Downtown Indy, Inc., in conjunction with the Department of Metropolitan Development and the City Market Corp. DMD Director Megan Vukusich said they are seeking at least 500 respondents – with hopes for many more than that.
For all those who complete the survey, Downtown Indy will select a random 10 individuals to receive a $50 gift card; good for use at a Downtown restaurant/bar.
The survey will be open through Wednesday, April 30, and is available here
